If you are in love with travel then you’ve certainly noticed that every single place and moment has it’s own beauty and charm.

When you visit the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, magic is in the air. It's beauty is captivating - not just for the eyes, but for the soul.

As a yoga teacher and avid traveler myself, I feel inspired to find places that have a magical atmosphere to create yoga retreats that will be transformative in every single way.

Why travel and yoga?

Travel awakens your senses while deepening the connection with yourself and others around you...it has the ability to make you more mindful and present.

Our yoga retreat in the Sacred Valley at Yoga Mandala Peru is designed to take your mind and body to the next level.

How will you grow?

The first day you'll be welcomed by the local shaman for a beautiful ceremony to help you connect with the loving energy of Mother Earth or Pachamama, as the local indigenous people call it. Be ready to set your intentions and offer them to Mother Earth!

Practice yoga and meditation twice a day with a sequence of classes that will help you cleanse and recharge your body, mind, and spirit. Get ready to connect with your higher purpose.

Early classes will combine Vinyasa, Hatha, Iyengar, and Kundalini yoga style where all level practitioners are welcome.

Evening classes will be restorative focused to help you unwind and prepare you for a deep sleep at the retreat center in the heart of the Andes Mountains.

At Mandala Yoga we'll be eating delicious organic food, locally grown to reduce our environmental impact while fueling us for our adventure. Vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free and meat eaters are welcome!

But yoga and spirituality will just be the beginning...

The Sacred Valley of Peru has incredible culture and history that will display itself to you in various ways.

I have invited two amazing friends and healers, Marta and Guillermo from the music medicine band Malkikuna, who will lead us through a Sound Healing and Cacao Ceremony.

They'll play more than twenty musical instruments creating various healing soundscapes that'll invite you to travel to a deep place of peace and relaxation. Our guides will also bring us through the Sacred Cacao plant ceremony with respect to Incan traditions.

During this ceremony people are said to get in touch with their “inner medicine”, experience deep healing energy, open their heart chakra, and find a great sense of love and connection.

This ceremony will be about thanking Mother Earth, the spirit of the mountains, and the tree of life.

Part yoga, part shopping!

Near the Mandala Yoga Center we’ll have the opportunity to visit a local waterfall and experience nature in all it’s pure unadulterated force. And yes, we’ll visit the enchanting town of Urubamba to explore the local market where the Quechua “mamas” come down the mountains to sell their colorful textile artwork.

Machu Picchu: The Grand Finale

Our trip will include a day trip to Machu Picchu via train, park entrance fees, and a guided tour of the archeological site with our local guide from Cusco. This will be your pilgrimage to one of the world’s most famous sacred sites.

The act of traveling is a powerful transformative experience on it's own, but when combined with the catalyst of yoga and meditation - real shifts happen!

If you’re dreaming about seeing the world and strengthening your inner-self then you should definitely consider our retreat to the Sacred Valley of Peru for your next escape, July 22-28, 2018!
