Trip Overview

Day 1

Madrid

Bienvenidos a España! Arrive at Madrid International Airport (MAD) by 10:00am and start exploring Spain’s vibrant capital renowned for its movida counter-culture.

Walk through neighborhoods like Malasaña or La Latina full of cozy cafes, alternative shops and excellent tapas bars.

Reach the heart of the city at Puerta del Sol and take a charming walk through Retiro Park, one of the largest and most beautiful parks in Madrid.

Enjoy a local paella dinner with your new friends and spend the night relaxing or experiencing the famous Spanish nightlife.

Day 2

Explore Seville

Say goodbye to Madrid and take the high-speed train to Seville, the capital of southern Spain’s Andalusia region.

Spend the day getting lost in the maze of iconic alleyways around the old Jewish Quarter. You can also take the option to explore Seville on a biking tour with our trip leaders.

Visit the Cathedral of Seville or climb the Giralda Bell Tower, originally constructed as a mosque in 1184 and then later taken by the Christians.

Join a flamenco dinner show and understand how this dance became a folk music tradition of Southern Spain.

Day 3

Explore the Alcazar Palace

Wake up in Seville and start the day exploring the royal palace of Alcazar, a UNESCO Heritage Site built in the 14th century. Stroll in the gardens of this beautiful place and maybe you'll recognize some scenes filmed in Game of Thrones...

After a picnic with the group, visit the stunning Plaza de España built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition, also a filming location for Lawrence of Arabia and Star Wars!

Have a typical tapas dinner with your new friends and enjoy a glass of 'tinto de verano', the typical Andalusian drink.

Day 4

Experience Cadiz

Spend the day in Cadiz, also known as the City of Lights thanks to its many hours of sunlight!

Explore the heart of Cadiz and have an authentic lunch at the local food market.

If weather permits, relax at the beach and take the time to explore the Castle of San Sebastian and the Castle of Santa Catalina.

If you're lucky, you may see the Moroccan Coast...

Day 5

Depart for Granada

Continue your journey through time by going straight to Granada, which was once a Moorish Muslim territory.

Spend the afternoon exploring Granada and hike to El Mirador de San Nicolas to observe the magnificent citadel and palace of Alhambra.

Dinner is served very late in Spanish culture, so enjoy a “merienda”, the traditional afternoon snack, usually consisting of delicious local pastries.

Day 6

Explore Granada Differently

Keep exploring Granada and take a step back in time strolling in the streets of Albayzin or get lost in the little alleys of the Moroccan souks of Granada.

Take a chance to visit the ancient fortress of the Alhambra as an optional activity. We highly recommend you to book your ticket far in advance on the Official Ticket Sale website as tickets get sold out very quickly.

But the day is not over yet. Before the sun sets, you'll go on an included night adventure tour led by a local guide where you'll explore Granada's hills and secret caves...

Day 7

Explore Barcelona Like a Local

Take an early flight from Granada to Barcelona (included in your trip) and arrive in Barcelona ready to see this dynamic metropolis.

Spend the afternoon exploring Barcelona and its Gothic architecture. Don’t miss the incredible Sagrada Familia Basilica, designed by the world famous Antoni Gaudí.

Get to know a completely different part of Spain as the region of Catalonia has their own language and culture.

Enjoy Catalan cuisine and the non-stop nightlife that will make your stay in Barcelona unforgettable.

Day 8

On the final day of our adventure, wake up early to soak in the last morning in Europe together.

Say goodbye to your new friends and depart at any time of the day with instructions from your trip leaders on how to take taxis, buses, or local transportation to the airport.
