Under30Experiences runs trips for young adults ages 21-35, but the engagement doesn’t stop after the trip. 

More than 10,000 travelers have joined a U30X trip since 2012 and many stay connected in our community long after.

We host regular alumni meetups in 20+ cities across the U.S., giving you a way to stay connected, meet new people, and keep that post-trip energy alive.

What Are U30X Meetups?

Meetups are casual, local gatherings organized by alumni for alumni (and future travelers).

Think:

• Hikes
• Trivia nights
• Cultural festivals
• Kayaking days
• Outdoor movie nights
• Travel-themed gatherings

No pressure. No sales pitch. Just people who love travel meeting up in real life.

Who Are They For?

• Past travelers (our alumni network)
• Travelers booked on upcoming trips
• People curious about joining a future trip

Most attendees are ages 21–35 who originally joined U30X solo.

Why Local Meetups Matters

More than 70% of our travelers join trips solo.

Meetups make it easier to:

Danielle Kanclerz

Berlin

Trips: Peru, Thailand, Guatemala, Yucatan, Morocco, South Africa, Egypt.

‍Favorite experience: Roasting marshmallows on an active volcano in Guatemala and morning walks with the giraffes in South Africa!

Bio: I'm from Metro Detroit originally but also lived in Ohio, Missouri, and San Francisco during my twenties before going on a 2-year digital nomad journey. Now I call Berlin, Germany home. I've been to 52 different countries (and counting!) and continue to look for every excuse I can to explore even more!

Shelby Broughton

Atlanta, GA

Trips: Morocco, Iceland, and South Africa. Future trips: Costa Rica, Bali

Favorite Experience: Riding camels through the Sahara desert 

Bio: I am originally from Kernersville, North Carolina but currently reside in Atlanta, GA. I work in the healthcare field full time in Orthopedics but indulge in various hobbies outside of work including camping and hiking, art, intramurals and having new experiences with friends. I love to travel, and finding U30X has opened so many doors to different parts of the world.

Trips: Costa Rica Starter, Belize, Costa Rica Adventure, Thailand

Favorite Experience: whitewater rafting the Pacuare River, Costa Rica 

Bio: What I love about U30X/O30X is the opportunity to explore the world's most fascinating destinations while immersing myself in local cultures and forming lifelong connections with like-minded adventurers. Now, I'm excited to bring that same spirit of adventure and camaraderie to Southeast Michigan, sharing the joy of travel and exploration with others who share my passions.

Rachael Jones

Denver, CO

Trips: Greece, Ireland, Thailand, South Korea, Egypt 

Favorite Experience: I have so many favorites. Cooking class in Paros, the elephant sanctuary in Thailand, seeing the Cliffs of Moher, but visiting the DMZ in South Korea is what stands out because of the way it altered the chemistry in my brain. 

Bio: I’ve been a flight attendant for the last 12 years and an exercise physiologist in cardiopulmonary rehab for the last 2 years. I work hard, but I always make time to travel and reconnect with the world. Over the past twelve years I have traveled to 21 countries spanning 5 continents.I have loved getting to know and expand our Denver community while sharing our amazing travel experiences with one another.

Favorite experience: Snorkeling in the Galapagos Islands!

Bio: I'm from Western MA originally, but lived in North Carolina for several years before moving back to Boston in 2016. I work in biotech, but outside of work I like to indulge in several hobbies! I love travel, cooking, rock climbing, exercise, reading, and gardening!

San Diego, CA

Trips: Portugal, Spain 

Favorite experience: The food in Portugal and Spain!

Bio: Born in Russia, but very much a California girl at this point — grew up in LA, went to UCSD, and after bouncing around both coasts I found my way back to San Diego in 2020.I love traveling and getting to know places through food and wine, culture, long walks, hikes, and whatever shops I inevitably wander into. I’m also passionate about photographing every cat I encounter on the road.
