City Tour of Buenos Aires

Today, embark on a walking tour of Buenos Aires, where you'll experience its unique spirit, mystique, and charm. We'll visit iconic locations like Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, La Boca and Caminito, San Telmo, Palermo, and Recoleta.

After the tour, enjoy an unforgettable night at Palacio Tango with a tango class, a 3-course dinner, and an enticing show before heading out to Patagonia tomorrow!

Day 3

Welcome to El Chaltén

After breakfast, take a local flight to El Calafate in southern Argentina, where your Patagonian adventure will begin. Upon arrival at El Calafate Airport, you will meet your local driver, who will transfer you to your hotel in El Chalten, which is located 3.5 hours away from El Calafate.

During the journey, keep an eye out the window as there are mountains and glaciers at every turn, which makes this corner of Patagonia so unique. Once you arrive in El Chaltén, walk around town with your Trip Leader and enjoy the views of the famous Mount Fitz Roy.

It is important to rest this evening, as tomorrow marks the start of our epic hiking adventure! Have dinner as a group before heading to bed.

Day 4

Trekking Laguna de los Tres

Good morning! After breakfast, head to the trailhead at Rio Electrico, located north of the town.

This all-day trek covers 14 miles (22.5 kilometers) and lasts 10-12 hours, taking you through some of the most stunning scenery in the world.

The first 6 miles (10 kilometers) of hiking are flat and gentle. It should take around 3-4 hours as you enjoy the majestic views of Fitz Roy, Glaciar Piedras Blancas, and its lagoon. You'll arrive at Poincenot base camp and begin your ascent to the top of Fitz Roy. The 2-kilometer climb is challenging, as you'll have to climb over 400 meters of elevation on a rocky trail.

After reaching the summit, you can enjoy your lunch before returning to base camp. If you cannot get to the top, you can rest here with the group before walking back to the town of El Chaltén.

On the way back to the town, we'll pass by various landscapes and crystal-clear streams. We'll also visit Laguna Capri, a favorite spot for photographers. After visiting the lagoon, we'll drop down into the valley of El Chaltén.

After such an exciting day, why not relax in the town with a beer at a microbrewery or a hot chocolate with homemade cake?
