Experience Iceland with local mountain guides, explore waterfalls & glaciers, and learn about a place that at times looks like the surface of the moon.

Trip Overview

Day 1

Arrive & Explore Reykjavik

Arrive at Keflavik Airport (KEF) before 7:00 AM and take the included transportation to Reykjavik, Iceland's capital city. 

Meet fellow travelers for breakfast before exploring the charming downtown area with European cafes, historic sites, and beautiful views.

Depart Reykjavik for the South Coast to your Icelandic guesthouse, your home base for the week.

Day 2

Vestmannaeyjar Islands or Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

Midnight Sun Trips

Wake up and enjoy a typical Icelandic breakfast before beginning the adventure for the day.

After a stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, take the ferry to the volcanic Vestmannaeyjar Islands, a world famous settlement just off the coast.

Hike the volcano Eldfell that erupted in 1973 and enjoy breathtaking views on the North Atlantic Ocean.

Northern Lights Trips

Visit Seljalandsfoss waterfall, under the famous Eyjafjallajökull.

Hop on an Icelandic horse for an optional ride under the dramatic coastal cliffs, or take a scenic hike around the area.

Reach Reynisfjara, the world-famous black sand beach and admire the beauty of the basalt columns, lava caves, and trolls turned to stone.

Day 3

Thingvellir National Park & Lake Laugarvatn

Explore Thingvellir National Park, where you will walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Learn about how Thingvellir is one of the most important historical places in Iceland.

Arrive at Lake Laugarvatn and experience the Icelandic way to bake rye bread in... hot springs!

Relax at the geothermal pool and steam baths and take a refreshing dip in the lake.

In the afternoon stop at Gullfoss, one of the biggest waterfalls of Iceland, before heading home and enjoying dinner together.

Day 4

Skógafoss & Glacier Walk

Drive to Skógafoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland, and go to the top for some incredible scenery and even more waterfalls.

Have lunch at Skógafoss before getting ready for your adventure on Sólheimajökull glacier.

Gather on Iceland's lunar landscape for a guided ice walk on Sólheimajökull Glacier with some of Iceland's top mountain guides.

*For Northern Lights trips starting on Thursday, Days 3 and 4 are switched.

Day 5


Depart South Iceland in the morning and be shuttled back to Keflavik Airport (KEF) for your flight departing after 3:00 PM or to Reykjavik if you decide to extend your stay.

If you wish to go to the Blue Lagoon instead, we strongly recommend you to book your tickets online as pre-booking is required.

Please note that starting in 2019 you will need to book your ticket after 1:00 PM. Transportation back to the airport or Reykjavik is not included if you choose to go to the Blue Lagoon.
