Why Mexico & Belize?

Experience ancient ruins, beautiful beaches, and crystal clear Caribbean waters.

Start in the culturally rich Yucatan Peninsula that was once dominated by the Maya Civilization as far back as 250 AD.

Make your way to the beautiful and quiet island of Caye Calker in Belize where there are no cars but plenty of rich Caribbean music, food, and culture.

This Under30Experiences trip pairs you with like-minded travelers and combines incredible beaches, Mayan history, and Caribbean soul.

Day 1: Arrival in Mexico

Arrive at Cancun International Airport (CUN) before 3:00 pm and be shuttled with the group to our boutique hotel in the center of Tulum, Mexico.

Away from other overbuilt resort cities, you'll be enjoying the Mayan Riviera just steps away from some of the best Mayan Ruins.

Catch your first Mexican sunset while enjoying a margarita with your group of young like-minded travelers.

Day 2: Tulum Ruins &
Sacred Cenotes

Wake up early and walk to Tulum National Park to see the world-famous pyramid, El Castillo, a key trade route for the Mayans.

Learn about the Mayan gods and snap pictures of the palace that existed long before the Spanish arrived in the New World.

In the afternoon, swim in the beautiful sacred cenotes and discover this hidden underground world.

Dive into these underground caves and see what UNESCO calls some of the world's most important underwater heritage sites.

Day 3: Mayan Cultural Immersion

Today we'll take an action packed day-trip to the Coba Archaeological Site & Sanctuary.

Climb one of the tallest Mayan pyramids on the Yucatan peninsula and admire the spectacular views over the Yucatan jungle.

Cross a Mayan Lagoon by canoe or zipline and rappel down into an ancient Cenote.

Finally, wrap up the day by experiencing an authentic Mayan Ceremony performed by a local Shaman.

Keep an eye out for monkeys, cougars and other exciting wildlife!

Day 4: Discover Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza was one of the largest Mayan cities and most mystical according to Mesoamerican literature.

The giant step pyramid called El Castillo is world-famous and is considered one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

Take advantage of the natural wonder that surrounds us at this historical site.

Back in Tulum, go out for an amazing meal and dance to a variety of Mexican music to celebrate your final night with your new friends.

Day 5: Depart for
Caye Caulker, Belize

Depart Tulum, Mexico to be shuttled by the Under30Experiences team down the Mayan Riviera to the Mexican border town of Chetumal.

Travel via boat on a family owned Belizean water taxi that has been operated for over 15 years to Ambergris Caye.

After a 90-minute boat ride, you will arrive at the port and check-in through marine customs.

Complete your journey to Caye Caulker...only 45 more minutes to an island with no cars, just steps away from your accommodations on the beach.

Day 6: Snorkeling Trip

Depending on the weather conditions, travel by private boat to snorkel the world famous Hol Chan Marine Reserve to the north of the island.

Look beneath the surface of the ocean for sea turtles, sting ray, nurse sharks, and seahorses.

Visit Shark and Ray Alley where guides will handle the stingrays and allow you to swim with the sharks.

Day 7: Kayak Caye Caulker

Back on the island, enjoy a relaxing kayak trip through the mangroves. Watch for crocodiles and weave your way through the Forest Reserve.

Relax in the turquoise water at The Split. This is the local swimming hole that Caye Caulker is famous for.

Eat dinner where true Caye Caulker locals eat and enjoy homestyle meals prepared by local friends.

Day 8: Explore Ambergris Caye

From our seaside cabanas take the water taxi to the neighboring island of Ambergris Caye and explore the bustling town of San Pedro.

Rent bicycles or golf carts to roam the island's little beaches, quirky Caribbean style bars and local restaurants.

Or just grab some fellow travelers and hang out on inner tubes floating on turquoise waters and soak it all in.

This will be a time to truly connect with the small travel group who you have come to know over the past week in paradise.

Day 9: Relaxation & Departure

Wake up early to read a book or just take in the sea breeze as you say goodbye to your fellow travelers.

Be shuttled by the Under30Experiences team as the ferry picks us up on the dock in front of the hotel and brings us back to Belize City.
