Please see this page for Under30Experiences COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Status of Trips
Updated October 8, 2021: The following countries we operate in are currently open to US passport holders with some restrictions: Morocco, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Greece, Iceland, Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, & Ecuador. Our US National Parks trips are running as normal.

Each country has different entry requirements and all travelers returning to the United States will be required to show a negative COVID-19 test from a lab (PCR or Antigen) upon arrival. Under30Experiences will help coordinate testing at the end of your trip. Each traveler is responsible for fees associated with the test, payable directly to the lab conducting the test.

Travelers can now bring their own at-home, self-administered test kit such as Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag Tests to take before the end of the trip, to show to US immigration upon return home. This test must be taken under the supervision of a telehealth practitioner through an app like Navica.

Here is a brief list of special requirements to enter countries where we operate. Most countries ask travelers to fill out brief health forms upon arrival. Please know these requirements are subject to change. Consult your local embassy for further details:

-Belize: All travelers, regardless of vaccine status, must present a negative PCR Test taken up to 96 hours before travel (or) a negative Rapid Antigen test taken 48 hours prior to travel. (Rapid Antigen, Sofia, SD, Biosensor and ABBOTT Panbia).

-Costa Rica: Vaccinations and tests are not required. Unvaccinated people are required to buy travel insurance. To enter the country, simply show your vaccination card or your travel insurance required by Under30Experiences. You must fill out a form called Health Pass and get a QR code to show at immigration.

-Ecuador: Present a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 3 days before arrival. You may also present a letter from your doctor stating you have recovered from the virus in the last 90 days. To enter the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador you may present a negative COVID-19 test taken up to 72 hours before entry.

-Guatemala: Present a negative COVID-19 test taken up to three 3 days before departure from first embarkation point. A medical discharge letter is acceptable if dated at most 90 days from entry. COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

When a force majeure event, which occurs outside the reasonable control of either party, results in the suspension of your trip, we will suffer unrecoverable losses. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, political upsets, and pandemics.

We will always do our very best to manage all transfers and cancellations in response to a force majeure event, and want to ensure that you receive an amazing travel experience with us in the future. We are a very small company, and when you book a trip with us, the money we received for your trip goes directly to vendors abroad.  When we have an expected trip suspension, these vendors issue us some credit, if any at all, for lost reservations.

Due to this, we are unable to issue refunds.  In the event of a trip suspension, we will offer our travelers a 110% credit of the price they paid valid for use towards any of our trips anywhere in the world.

These credits never expire, there are no blackout dates, fees, and are giftable to a friend or family member. We appreciate your flexibility during an unprecedented global event, which ensures that our humble community receives incredible trips with us in the future.

Travel Insurance

Most travel insurance policies will not cover COVID-19 related cancellations.

If you're concerned with COVID-19, we recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes a Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) policy. Weigh your insurance options here.

Please note that many CFAR policies have stipulations regarding the time frame in which the insurance policy is purchased and the date your trip is initially booked.

The country of Costa Rica requires travel insurance due to COVID-19. Our recommended vendor is World Nomads.
