TRAVEL ALERTS

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND DESTINATION UPDATES

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

As of January 1, 2022, all Under30Experiences travelers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 more than 14 days before their trip's departure or provide a medical exemption note from a physician in order to participate.

Boosters are not required for all trips, but recommended. European countries have begin to put an expiration date of 270 days requiring on vaccines, requiring boosters. To be safe, we recommend having your booster at least two weeks before your trip, as requirements may change rapidly before your departure. Travelers are responsible for any additional charges incurred due to COVID-19, as well as covering any associated fees with these requirements. This may include, but is not limited to, physical vaccination card, COVID booster shots, COVID tests, etc. If a traveler tests positive, they will be required to follow local authorities' quarantine requirements.

Please see this page for Under30Experiences COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Country Entry Requirements
Updated May 20, 2022:

Each country around the world has different entry requirements due to COVID-19. When booking your flight, please note that you are also responsible for any entry requirements in countries where you have a layover, even if you are not exiting the airport.

All travelers returning to the United States will be required to show a negative COVID-19 test from a lab (PCR or Antigen) taken within the last 24 hours upon arrival, unless you have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days.

From the US CDC: "If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel)."

Under30Experiences will help coordinate testing at the end of your trip. Each traveler is responsible for fees associated with the test, payable directly to the lab conducting the test.
Travelers can now bring their own at-home, self-administered test kit such as Abbott BinaxNow COVID-19 Ag Tests to take before the end of the trip, to show to US immigration upon return home. This test must be taken under the supervision of a telehealth practitioner through an app like Navica. Please note that this is not allowed in the country of Belize.

If you are returning home to another country that is not the United States, you will be responsible for meeting the entrance requirements for that country.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

When a force majeure event, which occurs outside the reasonable control of either party, results in the suspension of your trip, we will suffer unrecoverable losses. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, political upsets, and pandemics.

We will always do our very best to manage all transfers and cancellations in response to a force majeure event, and want to ensure that you receive an amazing travel experience with us in the future. We are a very small company, and when you book a trip with us, the money we received for your trip goes directly to vendors abroad.  When we have an expected trip suspension, these vendors issue us some credit, if any at all, for lost reservations.

Due to this, we are unable to issue refunds.  In the event of a trip suspension, we will offer our travelers a 110% credit of the price they paid valid for use towards any of our trips anywhere in the world.

These credits never expire, there are no blackout dates, fees, and are giftable to a friend or family member. We appreciate your flexibility during an unprecedented global event, which ensures that our humble community receives incredible trips with us in the future.

Travel Insurance

Most travel insurance policies will not cover COVID-19 related cancellations.

If you're concerned with COVID-19, we recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes a Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) policy. Weigh your insurance options here.

Please note that many CFAR policies have stipulations regarding the time frame in which the insurance policy is purchased and the date your trip is initially booked.

The country of Costa Rica requires travel insurance due to COVID-19. Our recommended vendor is World Nomads.
