Trip Overview

Day 1

Benvenuti in Italia!

Arrive at Rome Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) by 9:00 AM and begin to immerse yourself in this breathtaking ancient city.

Have breakfast with your group in Rome and then explore the famous Fori Imperiali Archaeological site.

Walk through time from the Colosseum to the Pantheon, and then cross the river and to Vatican City – a country within the city.

Climb the steps of Villa Borghese and enjoy a stunning view of Rome from above.

Enjoy dinner with your new fellow adventurers in a local Italian Restaurant celebrating your first night in Italy.

Day 2

Depart to Umbria, Italy

Wake up in Rome and spend the morning exploring its alleys and squares. You can explore the neighborhood of Testaccio famous for its street art or the Garbatella area.

Hop on our private shuttle in the afternoon to the region of Umbria, Italy’s greenest region. Immerse yourself in the Italian countryside while you explore the farm, surrounding fields, and relax in the organic garden with your new friends.

Experience a home cooked Italian dinner made with locally sourced ingredients and love from our hosts.

Day 3

Assisi & Italian Cuisine

Enjoy your morning in the peaceful Italian countryside and have a great breakfast full of Italian specialities.

Arrive in Assisi, the town of St. Francesco. Wander around its gorgeous streets, and experience the fascinating architecture of St. Francesco’s Basilica.

Enjoy some of Umbria’s great views from the city’s panoramic squares and then head back to our Agriturismo Farm Stay for an immersive Italian cooking class.

Day 4

Italian Wine Tasting & Explore Perugia

Start the day with a delicious breakfast and get ready to sample Italian wine made in a local winery run by the same family for generations.

Spend the afternoon discovering the medieval Gothic town of Perugia, Umbria’s capital city.

Head back to the farm and enjoy a delicious homemade Italian dinner sourced from local ingredients grown on the premises.

Day 5

Frasassi Caves

Prepare yourself for another day full of adventure in the Umbrian countryside!

Travel to Frasassi & explore one of Italy’s natural wonders with a guide: The Frasassi Caves. Admire stunning stalactites and stalagmites, underground lakes all in fascinating natural wonder.

Before heading back to our Italian home base, discover the little medieval town of Gubbio and immerse yourself in the typical Italian lifestyle.

Get back to our farm and relax in the garden or chillout at the pool before savoring another Italian dinner...

Day 6

Explore Marmore Waterfalls and Spoleto

The Marmore waterfalls is the perfect place to enjoy Umbria’s green heritage and learn more about the Roman times.

Different trails with different difficulty level allow you to enjoy the waterfalls from different perspectives.

After the visit, head north spending the afternoon in the beautiful town of Spoleto.

Day 7

Arrivederci Italia!

Say 'Arrivederci' to our gracious hosts and depart for Rome in our private shuttle.

Arrive at Rome Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) for your flight after 2:00PM local time.

Don’t forget to ask your trip leaders for suggestions if you want to spend more time in Rome or in Italy!
