Trip Overview

Day 1

Benvenuti in Italia!

Arrive in Rome and take included transportation to your boutique hotel located in a vibrant neighborhood of the city. 

Let your imagination run wild as you take in the rich history and magnificent views. Walk past the Roman Colosseum, the Tiber river and Vatican City.

Enjoy dinner in a typical Italian restaurant with your new friends. After dinner, continue to experience the city under the silent moonlight. Places like the Pantheon are beautifully lit in the evening.

Day 2

The Green Heart of Italy

Wake up in Rome and continue to explore this magnificent city. 

Take private transportation to the Umbria region which is known as the green heart of Italy. Take in the views as you are introduced to your new home in the Italian countryside.

Experience a home-cooked dinner made with locally sourced ingredients.

Day 3

Wine Tasting in Perugia

Enjoy your morning with some Italian coffee, cheese, ham and croissants. 

Today, sample Italian wine made in a local winery run by the same family for generations. The wine tasting include famous Italian cheese and ham called norcineria. 

Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the capital of Umbria, a gothic town with innovative architecture. Be sure to indulge in Umbria's world famous chocolate. 

Head back to the farm and enjoy a delicious homemade Italian dinner sourced from ingredients grown on the premises.

Day 4

Gubbio & The Frasassi Caves

Prepare yourself for another day full of adventure!

Visit the town of Gubbio. Gubbio was recognized as the most beautifully preserved medieval town in Italy.

After lunch, explore the incredible Frasassi caves with a local guide. The Frasassi caves are one of the largest cave systems in Europe and you will be able to admire stunning stalactites and stalagmites.

Head back to the farm house and have another delicious homemade dinner.

Day 5

Marmore Waterfalls

After breakfast, we'll relish in Umbria's green & Roman heritage.

Visit The Marmore Waterfalls which are the tallest man-made waterfalls in the world. We'll spend the morning hiking the various trails around the waterfalls and enjoying the variety of perspectives.

Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the farm house by the swimming pool before another incredible dinner.

Day 6

Assisi & Italian Cooking Class

Enjoy your morning in the peaceful Italian countryside. 

Visit the town of Assisi, wander around its gorgeous streets and enjoy a cappuccino at one of the squares. Assisi is an Italian town dedicated to it its St. Francis.

After exploring the town, head back to the farm to take part in an Italian cooking class. Learn how to make tagliatelle pasta, bolognese sauce and even some cookies from scratch!

Day 7

Arrivederci Italia!

Say arrivederci to our gracious hosts and depart for Rome International Airport in private transportation.

Don’t forget to ask your Trip Leaders for suggestions if you want to spend more time in Rome or in Italy!
