Yoga, a harmonizing system of development for the body, mind, and spirit.  Mindfulness, the practice of being aware of your body, mind, and feelings in the present moment.  The combination of these two is thought to lead one to a sense of peace and well-being, and also a feeling of being at one with their environment.  

This retreat combines the practice of yoga and life coaching with the rich tradition of spirituality that is steeped within Balinese culture.  Enjoy the tranquility of a countryside village from our villas located on the outskirts of Ubud, a town known as Bali’s cultural heart.  Wander among ancient temples gaining an understanding of religion’s importance to everyday local life.

This trip is relaxing and includes light activities with optional moderate activities.  Participants can decide how much time they spend being active. No physical preparation is required to make the most of the experience.

Trip Overview

Day 1

Arrival in Bali

Arrive at Denpasar, Bali at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), meet our staff and drive to Ubud.

Find yourself among rice paddies and steep ravines in this mecca of art and culture known for being less visited than Bali's main tourist areas.

Relax and recover after a long flight and enjoy our opening dinner at your villa located in the rice paddies of Melayang Village.

Get to know the other like-minded travelers and set an intention to lead you through the week.

Day 2

Cultural Immersion & Rice Paddies

Start your first morning in Bali with a gentle yoga practice followed by a Balinese breakfast.

Walk through the local community of Melayang village and learn about Balinese culture as you visit a compound and temple. See traditional laborers working in the terraced rice paddies and learn about the importance of conservation.

In the afternoon begin your mindfulness work during your first group coaching session before closing day with a hands-on yoga practice.

Cool off in the pool and listen to the nocturnal animals come alive at the villa before enjoying a delicious Balinese dinner.

Day 3

Monkey Forest

After a playful yoga practice, get up close and personal with the Balinese long-tailed macaque monkey in the sacred ecological reserve at the Monkey Forest.

Explore the local market, cafes, and art galleries of Ubud before heading back to the villas for group coaching and yoga.

Savor a healthy dinner, have a sacred gathering with friends, and enjoy a fun, engaging conversation about mindfulness.

Day 4

Yoga Barn

After our yoga practice we will spend the day at the world famous Yoga Barn, one of the largest yoga sanctuaries in Asia.

A center dedicated to healing and renewal, you will have the opportunity to take one of their yoga classes or schedule a massage at the Ayurvedic Spa.

Enjoy lunch at their delicious and healthy cafe before finding a quiet spot to continue our coaching.

Return to the villa for a night of relaxation under the stars and enjoy a nightcap with friends.

Day 5

Waterfalls & Reflexology

After yoga, cool down with a swim in a waterfall where you'll experience the magic of Bali's nature.

That afternoon, learn the basics of reflexology in an introduction to this traditional, ancient healing practice that has been used for thousands of years.

Return to the Yoga Barn to take part in a sacred Tibetan gong and meditation bowl ceremony and grab an organic, cold-pressed juice.

Close the day with a family-style dinner at one of Ubud's renowned vegan restaurants.

Day 6

Water Temple Purification

Begin the day with a fresh juice as you prepare your body for an ancient water temple purification ceremony at Tirta Empul.

Break your short fast over a delicious organic brunch and savor the flavors of Balinese food.

In the afternoon, go deeper in your yoga practice with another class and then partake in a discussion about mindfulness and reflect on the week's journey. 

Come together over dinner to enjoy a performance by the local children's orchestra where you'll truly get to experience the culture of Bali.

Day 7

Relaxation & Departure

Wake up early for an optional trip into town or one last swim in the infinity pool overlooking the tropical forest.

Soak up the last few hours of Balinese bliss in your villa before your departure.

Take the included transportation back to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) for your flight departing after 12:00 pm local time and say goodbye to your new friends.

Or, stay in Bali longer and continue the adventure on your own.
