Have a question about the Under30Experiences Greece trip?

What are the accommodations like?

You will be staying in 3-star boutique hotels close to the city/town center. Some hotels will have elevators, while others do not. We recommend packing as light as possible.

Accommodations are double occupancy. Solo travelers will be paired with someone of the same gender.

You can request a friend to be your roommate at checkout. If you'd prefer not to have a roommate, private room options are available upon request, subject to hotel availability for an extra charge.

Please contact bookings@under30experiences.com for more details.

What is the physical level of this Greek trip?

Moderate. This trip is a good mix of activity and relaxation and includes moderate physical activities.

Participants should expect to be active 3-4 hours most days. An active lifestyle is helpful though not required to enjoy the trip.

Can I opt-out of an included activity?

Of course! This is your trip, and you don’t have to participate in anything you don’t want to. We can also help you set up other optional activities if you'd rather do that.

Please be aware that opting out of included activities will not change the price of your trip.

How much time do we spend in Athens?

You will spend two nights and two days in Athens. We strongly recommend arriving early or extending your stay if you want to take full advantage of this historic city.

What types of transportation will we be using?

You’ll be in private vehicles for drives in Athens, Paros, Naxos, and Santorini.
When we travel to the islands we’ll use public ferries like the locals. There will also be an included flight to Athens on the last day of the trip.

What is the luggage allowance on the domestic flight?

On Day 9 you will be flying from Santorini to Athens.

You are restricted to 1 piece of checked luggage up to 50 pounds and 1 carry-on bag up to 16 pounds per person.

For excess baggage weight, up to 70 pounds, there is a fee of 35 Euros. If you wish to carry an extra piece of baggage which also happens to be overweight, you will incur a double charge.

When is the best time to visit Greece?

The best time to visit Greece’s islands is during the warmer months of May-September. During these summer months, you’ll be able to take full advantage of the beautiful beaches and summer activities. July and August tend to be the country’s busiest months so we’ll avoid these months in order to minimize crowds as much as possible.

Can we use our credit cards in Greece?

Credit cards are widely accepted by stores, hotels, and restaurants in Greece. However, smaller cafes and shops may not accept credit cards so make sure you carry enough cash to cover small purchases. Please let your credit card company know you’re traveling overseas.

Is tipping common in Greece?

Tipping is not obligatory, however, appreciated, especially when great service is provided.

Can I drink the water in Greece?

The water in Athens is potable however, the water on the islands is not. Wherever water is not potable, there is easy access to purchase bottled water. We recommend buying large water jugs to reduce plastic waste.

U30X is such an amazing travel community. Once your trip is over, the experience is not. They keep in touch with their alumni & provide platforms for travel questions, personal development, & community connections in your own backyard! If you're a young person looking to travel I highly recommend U30X!

There are not enough ways for me to describe how amazing this company is. After my first trip I always told people, it wasn't about the location, but the experience that u30x gave me. I have some of the best experiences of my life with u30x, and now a passion for travel. Also, their alumni community and groups are awesome too!

Traveling with U30X has been life changing for me. I've made lifelong friends with both travelers and staff. I can't come up with enough good things to say about the company, the people, and the experiences I've had!

Just returned from my second trip with Under30Experiences. My first trip was to the Costa Rica rainforest. My most recent trip was to Iceland. Both trips were such an amazing experience. I loved learning about Iceland and its origins. I enjoy the small groups and I made some great new friends! Recommend them for anyone wanting to travel alone or with a couple of friends.

I was so scared to travel abroad alone and then I came across their website and they made international travel so easy! And the people I’ve met on the trips are some amazing individuals! I’ve done 6 of their trips and plan on continuing to do even more!!

My Hike the Inca Trail trip was beyond amazing, and I couldn't have asked for anything more from a trip. Our leaders made us all feel instantly comfortable, and the group was fantastic. The trip was well planned and the hike was unforgettable. Memories to last a lifetime.
