Day 1

Welcome to Mérida, Mexico!


  • Meet at Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport at 3:00 pm where your Trip Leader will greet you.
  • Take a private shuttle from the airport to your boutique hotel located in the center of Merida, Mexico. 


  • Enjoy an included group dinner in Merida and sample some of the exquisite Yucatan cuisine as your Trip Leader goes over the plan for the week.

Day 2

Cenote Visit


  • Wake up in Merida and enjoy breakfast at your boutique hotel.
  • Take a short drive outside the city to discover some of the thousands of cenotes in the area.


  • You will get to the cenotes by motorbikes and learn about the geology, history and biodiversity of these waterholes. 
  • Cool off with a swim before continuing to a Mayan village where you will visit a medicinal Yucatecan shop where natural remedies are derived from plants and made by following traditional family recipes.
  • Enjoy an included homemade lunch with a local family before returning to Merida where you will have some free time to explore the city.


  • Follow your Trip Leader to a local restaurant and enjoy dinner as a group. Don’t be shy in trying new foods. The dishes in this region are delicious!

Day 3

Celestún Biosphere Reserve


  • Have breakfast at your boutique hotel.
  • Once you’ve filled up, pack your belongings and begin your journey to Campeche, one of the most colorful cities in all of Mexico.


  • Along the way to Campeche, make a pit-stop at Celestún Biosphere Reserve.
  • Enjoy a boat ride to discover hidden beaches and wetlands where many species of wildlife feed and nest.


  • Arrive at Campeche and enjoy some free time after checking into your boutique hotel.
  • Feel free to go for a swim before taking an evening sunset walk at the Malecón, a waterfront promenade. 
  • Have dinner as a group at a nearby restaurant before either settling in for the night or enjoying an optional night out.

Day 4

Campeche Tour


  • After fueling up with some breakfast, it's time to discover the city of Campeche by foot. 
  • This city was one of the most important ports during the Spanish colonization, and its original forts and murals used to protect the city from pirates and bandits still remain. 
  • Venture to the top of Fuerte de San Miguel and take in the beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico.


  • Enjoy a walking tour of the fortification system before enjoying a free afternoon to explore at your own pace.
  • Some of our top picks include Museo de Arquitectura Maya. Luan Café, Café Sotavento, and La Parrilla Colonial.


  • Meet back up with your group for dinner and enjoy another night of sampling local gastronomy.

Day 5

Uxmal Cultural Day


  • Enjoy your last breakfast in Campeche, pack up your belongings, and begin your journey back to Merida, making a few stops along the way to learn about the local culture.
  • Your first stop is the town of Pomuch, filled with small Mayan houses where it is a custom to make bread in wooden ovens every single day. 
  • After trying some locally made bread, visit the community’s cemetery in which the villagers celebrate the Day of The Dead every year. Learn how the locals celebrate this tradition, as it is very different to the celebrations found in the rest of Mexico. 


  • Arrive in the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal, one of the most beautiful cities in Mayan culture and said to hold the same importance as Chichen Itzá.
  • The Governor’s Palace and courtyards are filled with decorations including masks of Chaac, animals, and many important historical figures.


  • Arrive back in Merida to visit any shops that you may have missed earlier in your trip or some extra time to explore.
  • Gather for one final dinner with your new group of friends as you look back on your Mexican adventure.

Day 6



  • Say “adios” to Merida as you take included transportation back to the airport, where you will arrive at 10:00 am.
  • If you are extending your stay in Merida, be sure to ask your Trip Leader for recommendations on things to do in the area.
