Please review your trip's exact itinerary for details.
No. Most USA National Park trips will include at least one night of camping, but some trips like Las Vegas to Zion Bryce Canyon does not include camping at all. All trips will include some hiking and plenty of outdoor time!
As mentioned above, you will not need much camping gear but if your trip does include camping you should bring a sleeping bag and pillow. If you would like to shower at the campground, please bring a towel, shower shoes, quarters (depending on the campsite), and toiletries. We also highly recommend a day hiking backpack, water bottle, hiking shoes/boots, and a lightweight rain jacket. Each trip has more recommendations on the Trip Details pages. We also strongly recommend checking the weather report before leaving for your trip. Some locations are at high elevations and can be cool even in the summer months. If traveling in the spring or fall you may encounter a variety of weather during your trip as the seasons are changing.
This varies by the region you want to explore. Western mountain locations like Yosemite National Park are great in the summer months and into early fall. If you are looking for winter trips then you’ll want to focus on desert trips like Zion & Bryce Canyon National Park.
We only run trips during months that we believe are great for visitors based on the weather. Some of our trips run off-peak so you can enjoy the park to yourself while still hoping to have decent weather.
Here are just a few of the reasons we see travelers join our group trips:
"Go with a friend, go alone...either way you're guaranteed to have an amazing time."
