A Letter To Our Community During COVID-19
On behalf of our entire team at Under30Experiences, we would like to personally reach out to show our support during the outbreak of the coronavirus, COVID-19. Our team has been constantly monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and local government websites, carefully sorting through both facts and rumors.
Actions taken for current travelers
The health and safety of our travelers and staff is always our number one priority, and we are doing everything we can to mitigate the risks of travel. Our Trip Leaders have been encouraging travelers to get adequate sleep, minimize alcohol consumption, wash their hands for at least twenty seconds, and reduce face touching. Where it is possible to increase social distance, it is recommended. Trip Leaders and Regional Managers have budgets to buy soap for anyone who needs it. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is now allowing hand sanitizer of up to 12 ounces in carry on luggage.
The issue is larger than us
This pandemic reaches far beyond our small groups and is affecting communities, both large and small, around the world. At this time, we believe that it is incredibly important to do our best to “flatten the curve” of this virus, and slow it’s spread.
Although millennial travelers are often asymptomatic and not in great danger when they show symptoms, traveling to rural communities where healthcare systems are not set up to handle this pandemic is not something we want to contribute to. Equally devastating could be coming home to hug our parents, grandparents, or someone with a weakened immune system, unknowingly spreading this virus. We want to avoid this at all costs.
Trip Transfers and Cancellations
To go above and beyond industry standards, we’ve temporarily amended our transfer and cancellation policy to allow our community to cancel their trip up to the day before their departure to increase flexibility and make the right decision for them personally.
As many tourist sites are closing, nations are shutting their borders, and people are being quarantined around the world, we’re announcing the suspension of all trips through June 30, 2020. Travelers on these departures are being contacted and will receive travel credits worth 110% of the price they paid for their trip. These Experience Credits never expire and can be used towards any future trip. Trips that are currently underway will be completed as normal.

We want U30X to be a source of hope and inspiration during these times.
