Booking your trip is first hurdle to travel, but overcoming one's pre-departures fears can be another stressful hurdle that some travelers face. The staff at U30X often hears about fears that travelers have.

Fear is nothing more than a roadblock to fulfillment. Most of the times, these fears cause us unnecessary stress and worry. Despite that, its important for us to talk about our fears openly so that they don't overpower us.

Here are the top five fears we most often here from our travelers before take-off.

Will you let fear prevent you from hiking beautiful waterfalls like this one in Costa Rica?

I'm nervous about flying alone.

I love flying solo. You know why? Because I get several hours to be totally disconnected from everything. At 35,000 feet no one can contact you.

You can read, nap, journal, binge out on movies, or knit. Once you fly alone you'll realize it's easy and you'll be ready to book your next ticket.

I am scared to travel solo/this is my first time out of the country.

By far, this is the fear we see the most.

Most of our travelers with U30X are first time, solo travelers so you've picked the perfect group to travel with. People will be going through similar feelings as you and you won't be alone ever.

Once you get that passport stamp and explore somewhere new, you'll be asking yourself where to next?

This could be your tribe!

I'm worried what my parents will say.

Yes, people in your life may not understand your desire to travel. And that is ok. You are traveling to fulfill a need and a dream that is yours, no one else's.

You need to find fulfillment and happiness outside of anyone's approval. Those who truly support you will see how happy you are and understand your need to travel.

I'm worried I won't be able do the activities.

Our trips build in a substantial amount of get out of your comfort zone activities. We do this on purpose.

We want to push you and encourage you to do things we know you can do. I myself have been scared of some of the activities. We love these activities so much that we want to share them with you!

Give yourself the permission to just be. Our staff will hold safe space so that all you have to do is show up and enjoy the moment.
