Why Costa Rica?

Costa Rica is a hub for sustainability and green lifestyle for both expats and locals.

Time Magazine calls it the happiest country in the world.

This tropical paradise is home to 5% of the the world's biodiversity, where monkeys, sloths, and panthers inhabit the rainforest.

There is no better place to take a break from school, recharge, relax, and meet people from all over the world than the beaches of Costa Rica.

Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica

Arrive at San Jose International Airport (SJO) before 1:00 PM and be shuttled to Playa Hermosa beach for an incredible view.

Enjoy a delicious dinner and beautiful sunset as you get to know your new friends. Perhaps even enjoy a refreshing beer or cocktail right on the beach!

Then we head to Manuel Antonio to settle into your hotel conveniently located minutes from the beach and the National Park.

Day 2: Manuel Antonio National Park

Start your morning exploring the jungle of Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most beautiful and bio-diverse areas in the world.

The park contains a combination of rainforest, stunning beaches and is home to sloths, iguanas, and monkeys.

Manuel Antonio National Park is closed on Mondays, so occasionally the order of your days will change.

After a delicious mid-day meal, relax on the world famous beach, Playa Espadilla.

Day 3: Explore + Beach

For those interested in getting up early, enjoy some Costa Rican coffee, practice yoga on the beach, and/or take a cultural tour of the local town.

In the afternoon, grab a surfboard and ride the Pacific coast waves Costa Rica is known for.

After dinner, make your way to the disco for salsa dancing and get to know your peers over drinks in paradise.

Day 4: Optional Adventures

Day four is all about what you make of it. Go for an optional hike, catamaran ride, zip-line, or tour the local rainforest animal refuge.

Or, take a cultural tour of the nearby town of Quepos & visit the farmers market, shop for unique gifts, eat homemade ice cream, and take in the breathtaking views of this little port city.

Kick off the last night with a meal reflecting on the week's adventures and celebrate the new relationships you've created.

Day 5: Relax & Depart to Arenal

On our final day in Manuel Antonio, wake up early for an optional morning hike or a relaxing walk on the beach to say adios to the beach.

Depart for the airport where we will drop off travelers who will not be joining us for the full 9 days. Then we will head to Lake Arenal and the famous eco-lodge, Rancho Margot.

Kick off your visit to Costa Rica by relaxing in the natural pools at Rancho Margot resort before immersing yourself in the epicenter of eco-tourism.

Rancho Margot resort is certified as carbon negative and sits lakeside between cloud and rainforests in a UNESCO biosphere reserve.

Day 6: Ranch Tour & Zip Line

Start your morning with optional yoga, offered twice daily, and eat a healthy, organic breakfast grown on the ranch.

Tour Rancho Margot Eco-resort, a global example of green initiatives and sustainability and see the community in the rainforest.

In the afternoon go zip lining through the canopy with striking views of the Arenal Volcano at the best zipline in Costa Rica.

Day 7: Arenal National Park

Head just 5km to Arenal Volcano National Park to explore the active volcanic region. Hike one of the most biodiverse places on the planet.

Back at the resort, you'll have the option to relax in a hammock, swim in the natural pools, or adventure into "Mirador" hike.

Get to know your peers over dinner and drinks, and examine how to live a greener, healthier lifestyle.

Day 8: Kayak Lake Arenal

Be led by our local guides on kayaks into Lake Arenal for a chance to see monkeys, toucans, sloths, and crocodiles at the base of the volcano.

By now you will have your eye on a variety of optional activities including massages, art classes, yoga, horseback riding, or hot springs relaxation.

Kick off the last night with a special dinner overlooking our private lake to celebrate your new relationships in our travel community.

Day 9: Relaxation & Departure
