Day 1: Arrival in Costa Rica
Arrive at San Jose International Airport (SJO) before 1:00 PM and be shuttled to Playa Hermosa. Watch the locals surf one of the most famous waves in the world.
Enjoy your first Costa Rican dinner and beautiful sunset as you get to know your new friends. Perhaps even enjoy a refreshing beer or cocktail right on the beach.
Then we head to Manuel Antonio to settle into your hotel conveniently located minutes from the beach and the National Park.
Unwind in the pool or relax in your villa and get ready for tomorrow’s adventure.
Day 2: Manuel Antonio National Park
Start your morning exploring the jungle of Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most beautiful and biodiverse areas in the world.
The park contains a combination of tropical forest and stunning beaches and is home to two types of sloths and three types of monkeys.
Keep an eye out for iguanas, geckos, tree frogs, deer, racoons, agoutis, and several other animals you probably won’t see anywhere else.
After a delicious mid-day meal, relax on the world famous Playa Espadilla, rated top 15 beaches in the world by TripAdvisor.
Day 3: Explore + Beach
For those of you interested in getting up early, enjoy some Costa Rican coffee and/or practice yoga on the beach.
Then hike to a secret beach and enjoy an untouched and stunning slice of paradise. In the afternoon, you have the option to tour the local animal refuge, go zip-lining through the jungle, or explore many other hikes in the area.
After dinner, make your way to the local bar for salsa lessons and get to know your peers over drinks in paradise.
Day 4: Costa Rican Culture
Start your day at the local farmer’s market in the nearby fishing town of Quepos. Shop for unique artisan gifts, try local fruits, cheeses, ceviche, or homemade ice cream.
In the afternoon, paddle out to the waves like a local and take an optional surf lesson. Relax and rehydrate sipping out of a fresh coconut on the beach.
Kick off the last night watching a town soccer match or join one on the beach. Enjoy a delicious local meal and reflect on the week’s adventures while celebrating the new relationships you’ve made.
Day 5: Relax & Depart to Arenal
On our final day in Manuel Antonio, wake up early for an optional morning hike or enjoy your time by the pool.
Then we'll depart for the airport to drop off travelers who won't be joining us for the full 9 days, and then head to Lake Arenal and the fabulous Eco-Lodge.
On the way, tour the suburban town of Alajuela to see how Costa Ricans live in this part of the country. Learn some history and see Juan Santamaria Park or Museum.
Arrive at Rancho Margot, your home for the next 4 nights and enjoy a delicious organic dinner before relaxing in natural pools.
Day 6: Eco-Lodge Tour & Zip Line
Start your morning with optional yoga and eat a healthy organic breakfast grown on the premises of the lodge.
Tour the permaculture farm where you will stay; a global example of green initiatives, sustainability, and regeneration.
Hike through the rainforest for an epic view of the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal, or get your adrenaline pumping on the best zip-line* canopy tour in Costa Rica.

Day 7: La Fortuna
Depart to La Fortuna after a satisfying breakfast, and explore what the beautiful and friendly rainforest town has to offer. Today you will adventure like a local.
Head to El Salto waterfall, jump off a rope swing, and cool off in the natural waters before eating a tasty typical meal in the heart of town.
Hike to a stunning viewpoint in the afternoon or visit the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park for a deep jungle experience.
Catch a beautiful sunset overlooking Lake Arenal before returning to the lodge for dinner. Spend the evening relaxing on one of the many hammocks or getting to know your peers over drinks at the bar.
Day 8: Kayak Lake Arenal
Go hiking or kayak on Lake Arenal for a chance to see monkeys, sloths and toucans. If adrenaline is your thing select an optional white water rafting adventure.
Relax and wind down by visiting the local hot springs and feel the geothermal energy that warms the water at the base of the Arenal Volcano.
Celebrate on your final night with your new relationships you’ve built over the past several days in paradise.
Day 9: Relaxation & Departure
Wake up early for an optional morning hike and reflect on the experience over an organic breakfast.
Say goodbye to the amazing new friends you've made and make plans to keep in touch back home through Under30Experiences’ vibrant community.
Continue on your own adventure or take the provided transportation back to San Jose Airport for departing flights.
