San Francisco to Yosemite

Day 1

Welcome to San Francisco!

  • If flying, plan to arrive at San Francisco International Airport by 4:00 pm, gather your belongings, and head towards your boutique hotel where your Trip Leader will greet you.
  • After settling into your hotel, meet with your group in the lobby at 6:30 pm as your Trip Leader lays out the plan for an exciting long weekend ahead.

  • Head out to either Fisherman’s Wharf or North Beach and enjoy your first dinner as a group.
  • Extend your evening with an optional night out on the town or settle into your boutique hotel and rest up for the exciting adventures that await!

Day 2

Great Central Valley

  • Wake up in San Francisco and enjoy breakfast at your boutique hotel.
  • Depart San Francisco and begin your journey east through the Great Central Valley, also known as the largest agricultural region in the entire United States.

  • Along the way, make a stop in Livermore Valley and visit the largest continuously operated family-owned winery in the country.
  • Sip some wine while learning about their sustainability practices that they use both throughout their winery and within their own community.
  • Arrive in the Yosemite area and stretch your legs with a short hike to visit the Great Sequoias, the largest species of tree in the world!

  • After admiring the giants of the forest, return to the campground and set up camp, which will be your wilderness home for the next two nights.
  • Cook your first meal as a group and then snuggle into your sleeping bag as you enjoy your first night sleeping in nature.

Day 3

Explore Yosemite National Park

  • Wake up and enjoy a camp breakfast as you ease into your day with a warm cup of coffee and the sounds of birds chirping.

  • This day is perfect for exploring your new surroundings!
  • Hike through the Yosemite Valley and admire breathtaking views found around every corner.
  • Yosemite National Park is the perfect destination for nature hiking enthusiasts as the options are limitless!

  • Head back to your home away from home and enjoy your final meal cooked at camp and reminisce on your experiences in Yosemite.
  • Keep your eyes towards the night sky as you look for shooting stars. Yosemite National Park is miles away from any city lights, providing the perfect dark sky ideal for stargazing on clear nights.

Day 4

  • Enjoy your final breakfast surrounded by trees and take included transportation back to our hotel in San Francisco.
  • Say goodbye to your new friends and make your own way to the airport to catch your flight home departing after 4:00 pm or extend your stay in San Francisco.

U30X is such an amazing travel community. Once your trip is over, the experience is not. They keep in touch with their alumni & provide platforms for travel questions, personal development, & community connections in your own backyard! If you're a young person looking to travel I highly recommend U30X!

There are not enough ways for me to describe how amazing this company is. After my first trip I always told people, it wasn't about the location, but the experience that u30x gave me. I have some of the best experiences of my life with u30x, and now a passion for travel. Also, their alumni community and groups are awesome too!

Traveling with U30X has been life changing for me. I've made lifelong friends with both travelers and staff. I can't come up with enough good things to say about the company, the people, and the experiences I've had!

Just returned from my second trip with Under30Experiences. My first trip was to the Costa Rica rainforest. My most recent trip was to Iceland. Both trips were such an amazing experience. I loved learning about Iceland and its origins. I enjoy the small groups and I made some great new friends! Recommend them for anyone wanting to travel alone or with a couple of friends.

I was so scared to travel abroad alone and then I came across their website and they made international travel so easy! And the people I’ve met on the trips are some amazing individuals! I’ve done 6 of their trips and plan on continuing to do even more!!

My Hike the Inca Trail trip was beyond amazing, and I couldn't have asked for anything more from a trip. Our leaders made us all feel instantly comfortable, and the group was fantastic. The trip was well planned and the hike was unforgettable. Memories to last a lifetime.
