San Francisco & Yosemite

Day 1

Napa Valley!

  • Meet your leader at Hotel Triton at 8:00 a.m.
  • Drive across the Golden Gate bridge on your way to famous Napa Valley
  • Stop in Sausalito for a coffee and a look around this quaint town on the bay.

  • Enjoy an included wine tasting, before having lunch at Napa’s Oxbow Public Market
  • Continue the drive to our campsite on the edge of Yosemite Valley, just outside of the national park.

  • Set up your  campsite, which will be your wilderness home for the next three nights.
  • Cook your first meal as a group and then snuggle into your sleeping bag as you enjoy your first night sleeping under the stars.

Day 2

Yosemite Valley

  • Wake up and enjoy a camp breakfast and you ease into your day with a warm cup of coffee and the sounds of birds chirping.

  • This day is perfect for exploring your new surroundings!
  • Either hike through the Yosemite Valley and admire breathtaking views found around every corner.
  • Yosemite National Park is the perfect destination for nature hiking enthusiasts as the options are limitless!

  • Head back to your home away from home and enjoy a great meal cooked at camp and sit around a campfire.
  • Keep your eyes towards the night sky as you look for shooting stars. Yosemite National Park is miles away from any city lights, providing the perfect dark sky ideal for stargazing on clear nights.

Day 3

Yosemite High Country

  • After breakfast today, we’ll head back into Yosemite National Park, this time to explore the less-visited high country area of the park.
  • First, we’ll stretch our legs with a short hike to visit the Great Sequoias, the largest species of tree in the world!

  • After admiring the giants of the forest, we will drive to beautiful Tenaya Lake for an included picnic lunch and time to relax on the beach and perhaps, take a dip in the refreshing alpine lake water.
  • We’ll take one last short hike, this time to the top of Pothole Dome, where we can get 360 degree views of the surrounding Tuolumne Meadows area.

  • Following your last hike, return to camp for your final dinner out in nature and one last campfire with your new group of friends.

Day 4

  • Enjoy your final breakfast surrounded by trees and after packing up camp, depart for San Francisco.

  • Once back in San Francisco, enjoy a short city tour with your Trip Leader. Stop for photos of the ‘Painted Ladies’ and the San Francisco skyline, before arriving in the Haight Ashbury district for some time to explore and have lunch.
  • After lunch, enjoy the Lands End trail at your own pace. This flat and easy trail follows the rocky coast line within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific Ocean.
  • Your Trip Leader will pick you up at the end of this 1.5 mile trail, and take you to our gateway hotel by 5:00 pm, where you will say your final goodbyes to your new friends before making your own way to the airport to catch your flight home or extend your stay in San Francisco.
  • Ask your Trip Leader for suggestions if you choose to spend more time in San Francisco area.

U30X is such an amazing travel community. Once your trip is over, the experience is not. They keep in touch with their alumni & provide platforms for travel questions, personal development, & community connections in your own backyard! If you're a young person looking to travel I highly recommend U30X!

There are not enough ways for me to describe how amazing this company is. After my first trip I always told people, it wasn't about the location, but the experience that u30x gave me. I have some of the best experiences of my life with u30x, and now a passion for travel. Also, their alumni community and groups are awesome too!

Traveling with U30X has been life changing for me. I've made lifelong friends with both travelers and staff. I can't come up with enough good things to say about the company, the people, and the experiences I've had!

Just returned from my second trip with Under30Experiences. My first trip was to the Costa Rica rainforest. My most recent trip was to Iceland. Both trips were such an amazing experience. I loved learning about Iceland and its origins. I enjoy the small groups and I made some great new friends! Recommend them for anyone wanting to travel alone or with a couple of friends.

I was so scared to travel abroad alone and then I came across their website and they made international travel so easy! And the people I’ve met on the trips are some amazing individuals! I’ve done 6 of their trips and plan on continuing to do even more!!

My Hike the Inca Trail trip was beyond amazing, and I couldn't have asked for anything more from a trip. Our leaders made us all feel instantly comfortable, and the group was fantastic. The trip was well planned and the hike was unforgettable. Memories to last a lifetime.
