San Francisco & Yosemite

Day 1

Napa Valley!

Morning

  • Meet your leader at Hotel Triton at 8:00 a.m.
  • Drive across the Golden Gate bridge on your way to famous Napa Valley
  • Stop in Sausalito for a coffee and a look around this quaint town on the bay.

Afternoon

  • Enjoy an included wine tasting, before having lunch at Napa’s Oxbow Public Market
  • Continue the drive to our campsite on the edge of Yosemite Valley, just outside of the national park.

Evening

  • Set up your  campsite, which will be your wilderness home for the next three nights.
  • Cook your first meal as a group and then snuggle into your sleeping bag as you enjoy your first night sleeping under the stars.

Day 2

Yosemite Valley

Morning

  • Wake up and enjoy a camp breakfast and you ease into your day with a warm cup of coffee and the sounds of birds chirping.

Afternoon

  • This day is perfect for exploring your new surroundings!
  • Either hike through the Yosemite Valley and admire breathtaking views found around every corner.
  • Yosemite National Park is the perfect destination for nature hiking enthusiasts as the options are limitless!

Evening

  • Head back to your home away from home and enjoy a great meal cooked at camp and sit around a campfire.
  • Keep your eyes towards the night sky as you look for shooting stars. Yosemite National Park is miles away from any city lights, providing the perfect dark sky ideal for stargazing on clear nights.

Day 3

Yosemite High Country

Morning

  • After breakfast today, we’ll head back into Yosemite National Park, this time to explore the less-visited high country area of the park.
  • First, we’ll stretch our legs with a short hike to visit the Great Sequoias, the largest species of tree in the world!

Afternoon

  • After admiring the giants of the forest, we will drive to beautiful Tenaya Lake for an included picnic lunch and time to relax on the beach and perhaps, take a dip in the refreshing alpine lake water.
  • We’ll take one last short hike, this time to the top of Pothole Dome, where we can get 360 degree views of the surrounding Tuolumne Meadows area.

Evening

  • Following your last hike, return to camp for your final dinner out in nature and one last campfire with your new group of friends.

Day 4

Departure

Morning

  • Enjoy your final breakfast surrounded by trees and after packing up camp, depart for San Francisco.

Afternoon

  • Once back in San Francisco, enjoy a short city tour with your Trip Leader. Stop for photos of the ‘Painted Ladies’ and the San Francisco skyline, before arriving in the Haight Ashbury district for some time to explore and have lunch.
  • After lunch, enjoy the Lands End trail at your own pace. This flat and easy trail follows the rocky coast line within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, with amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific Ocean.
  • Your Trip Leader will pick you up at the end of this 1.5 mile trail, and take you to our gateway hotel by 5:00 pm, where you will say your final goodbyes to your new friends before making your own way to the airport to catch your flight home or extend your stay in San Francisco.
  • Ask your Trip Leader for suggestions if you choose to spend more time in San Francisco area.

Just returned from my second trip with Under30Experiences. My first trip was to the Costa Rica rainforest. My most recent trip was to Iceland. Both trips were such an amazing experience.
