Our Asks

• Applicants come with unique industry translatable experience
• Fluent in English plus another language: Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Thai...
• Have social media and photography skills
• Understand this is a full-time job commitment (not just a vacation)
• Be CPR and First Aid certified; other certifications a plus

And can handle the following:

• Red eye flights to places like Iceland 
• Dealing with the elements
• Jetlag
• Altitude sickness
• Food poisioning in Peru
• Being in physical shape
• Mentally ready to lead others out of their comfort zone

Austin, Texas: Work from our collaborative co-working space among the next generation of purpose based enterprises in the heart of the Austin’s music, art, and food scene.

Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica: Live and work where the jungle meets the beach.  Monkeys, sloths, and toucans stop by the office all the time.  Costa Rica is paradise for yogis and surfers.

Cusco, Peru: Our South America Headquarters is deep in the Andes Mountains, in the culturally rich, adventure capital of Peru.  The trek to Machu Picchu awaits!

Be scrappy.  This is a startup.  We’ve all slept on couches, air mattresses, and airport floors.  Take local public transit and smile.  You are getting paid to travel the world.

High energy + positivity.  It’s our job to be cheerful, upbeat, and adventurous.  Bring positive energy to everything we do and please no complaining. 

Be present.  Our travelers are on a once in lifetime trip.  Experience it fully with them.  This means no cell phones at dinner, no headphones on hikes, etc…

Clear Communication.  We are a dynamic organization across several time zones.  Communicate directly.  Say what you mean.  Do not create unnecessary emails or work for others.    

Efficiency.  North American travelers expect a high level of service.  It’s our job to see that accommodations, transportation, and restaurants live up to our standards.  Speak up and manage our vendors!  

Be a trusted friend.  Remember-- you are not a tour guide.  You are a trusted friend with local connections.  Build relationships and trust with our community members.  If you don’t know the answer to a question, you know someone who does!  

Take care of yourself.  Our work is physically demanding.  Sleep well.  Take time for yourself.  Be mentally and physically ready to be a high energy leader every week!

Go above and beyond.  A trusted friend makes sure their friends have a trip of a lifetime.  Every detail counts!
